If you do decide to try Sine give it a thorough test.
Save a couple projects and re-open them, load up everything and make sure it's loading and unloading RAM without locking Logic up when quitting or re-opening Logic. Finally save a project with a few Kontakts and Sine instances in the same project, and make sure Logic doesn't hang on close or open. (Again 1.0.3's been solid here but these are the issues I had when I was having problems with it). I also doubt they'll do any updates to the Kontakt version in the future.
Also, imagine having to replace a bunch of Kontakt instances with Sine in a template. (Something I have in store for me.) Not to mention that Sine's more flexible, quicker and easier to set up, and uses far less CPU than Kontakt, I don't see myself using the Kontakt version once I have it replaced in a few templates.īasically I'd go directly to Sine if it runs well for you.
